Iranian feature ‘Bearer’ has been set to go on screen at the 17th edition of the Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh.
The 84-minute feature will go on the silver screen at the Cinema of the World section of the event on January 15, 2019.
Directed by Bahman Kamyar, the film is on the verge of screening at international venues while being on the silver screen in Iran.
'Bearer' narrates the story of Mehri, a woman who gets involved in an unknown situation against her wish and now tries to deal with it.
The social drama stars Jaleh Sameti, Mohammad-Reza Ghaffari, Iraj Sanjari, Ehsan Amani, Roya Javidniya, Babak Behshad, Masoumeh Rahmani, Bijan Afshar, Rana Azadivar, Mohsen Kiaee and Farzad Sina.

Established in 1992, the DIFF is one of the most prestigious film events in Bangladesh, dedicated to introducing the mainstream global cinema to the local filmmakers as well as promoting healthy cine culture within Bangladesh.
The 17th DIFF, themed on “Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society”, will feature some 170 films by filmmakers from about 60 countries around the world.
Various competition sections are being held at this DIFF, highlighting a wide range of interests from Asian to international cinema, children’s films, women filmmakers, short and independent films, and spiritual films.
The 17th DIFF has been slated for January 10-18, 2019 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
